TRADITION
Imprisoned in tradition's role,
And calloused by her sin;
She came to drink, but not to give -
She could not stoop to Him.
Embellished in tradition's lore,
And of her nations fame;
She held the rope, He had none -
Her pride, in Jacob's name.
Undaunted by tradition's shell,
It crumbled, as He spoke;
She drank from Him, not the well -
He broke the binding yoke.
