PATMOS
The head that leaned on Jesus' breast,
Was comforted, when sore distressed;
In sweet communion often blessed
Now lay on Patmos.
The feet that trod Judean hills,
Traversing mountain, vale and rill;
To bring men Peace and goodwill,
Now walked anew on Patmos.
The hands that touched the Living Word,
Yet riven by the gleaming sword;
But God's design that men be served,
Now touched again, on Patmos.
The lips that gave a fond embrace,
And spoke so kindly of His grace;
Soon talked of wonders, face to face,
Now revealed, on Patmos.
The eyes that did the Lamb behold,
Declaring the shepherd of the fold;
Redeeming men, complete and whole,
Now fulfilled on Patmos.
