OIL
Only a pot - What did it hold?
Tremendous the need - sons to be sold,
No silver of gold, rooms that were bare;
The pot, full of oil, with plenty to spare.
Only a pot - What could it do?
Borrow some vessels - many - not few,
Victory o'er death - from utter despair,
The pot, filled the vessels, still plenty to spare,
Only a pot - What did it bring?
Oil poured out - not harbored within,
Silver and gold - Bounteous fare;
The pot, emptied out, brought blessings to spare.
